Job Overview
Being the key contact within Quality Management you ensure that all IATF Quality Management Systems requirements are implemented and maintained. You represent Detroit in global alignment meetings for standards and methods.
In product projects (classic or eMobility) you ensure quality standards and requirements for new products. You will lead all quality activities during the project phase until hand-over to series quality management after start of production of the new product.
Approximately 70% of this position is QM Systems and 30% product project related.
Responsibilities
- Lead all QM Systems related activities for the plant and align globally if necessary.
- Implement standards, develop departmental/organizational procedures, ensure record retention and controlled documentation, create process maps for all departments, etc.
- Coordinate annual external IATF audit.
- Lead, perform, document internal audits.
- In product projects ensure quality standards and requirements for new products.
- Lead all quality activities during the project phase until hand over to series quality management.
- Lead and facilitate the PPR (Product and Process release) process.
- Lead and facilitate Process FMEAs.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university and 6+ years of related experience required
- Degree focus in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics is preferred
- An attached resume is required
- Certified and experienced IATF 16949 auditor required
- Background of project management preferred
- Familiarity of core Quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, etc.) required
- Background / product knowledge of our products as well as assembly and machining processes preferred
- International travels (German and/or Spanish language skills are beneficial) preferred
- High level of good communication skills, MS Office applications, Team Player required
