The incumbents will take part in research and development of innovative robot enabling technologies for logistics and supply chain industry.

Responsibilities:

The appointee will provide support in research & development activities of the Centre and he/she is required to:

• Carry out embedded programming of mobile robots, stair-claiming robots, legged robots, exoskeletons/wearable robots for warehouse and logistics applications;
• Design, develop and fabricate aforesaid robots or robotic systems;
• Provide circuit design and fabricate PCBAs.

Requirements:

Applicants should have:

• Bachelor Degree in Bio-mechanical Engineering, Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience;
• Knowledge of motor/actuator feedback control and PCB design/fabrication is a must;
• Hands-on experience in motion control and sensors and actuators of aforesaid robots or robotic systems is preferable;
• Knowledge of Linux System and CAE software e.g. PSpice, SolidWorks, will be an advantage;
• Candidate with less work experience may consider for R&D Engineer position.
