As the main responsibility, the job holder will be in charge of Monitoring and Diagnosis design for Medium Voltage Switchgear, including GIS (Gas insulation switchgear) and AIS (Air insulation switchgear), especially for RMU (Ring Main Unit) according to the customer’s needs and new technology development trend.

Your responsibilities

• Performing, Monitoring and Diagnosis designing for Medium Voltage Switchgear digital solution, especially for RMU digital solution.
• Mainly focusing on algorithm development for Digital solution and design optimization by performing necessary analysis, e.g. DFMA, FMEA, simulation.
• Coordination on prototype making and type test according to GB/IEC standard, R&D Project management according to ABB Gate Model.
• Following up new technologies regarding focused products, have a clear view of technology development trend.
• Cooperating with other departments, other TCs and LBU/GPGs in order to finish project on time.

Your background

• Must have master’s degree or above, majored in Electrical Automation, Measurement and Control technology, Mechanical design and Automation or related.
• More than 3 years on algorithm development, digital switchgear experience is preferred, more than 1 years R&D Project Management experience required.
• Solid knowledge of digital signal processing and data analytics and mastering at least one language, e.g. C/C++, Python, R etc.
• Experience in development of condition-based monitoring algorithms is preferred.
• Solid skills of SolidWorks, Auto-CAD, Abaqus, MS office tools, and other related and familiar with AI, machine learning and other new technology development trend.
• Must be good at oral and written English.
• Excellent innovation capability, self-motivated, high curiosity and ability to learn about new technologies and being a team player with strong communication to adapt to cross-cultural working environment.
