Then come and join our global team as Senior Regulations and Standardization Engineer (f/m/d) in the field of magnetic resonance imaging (MR) to be responsible for the development and implementation of the general standards within the field of electrical and mechanical safety for MR products, services and solutions. Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours. Your tasks and responsibilities: In your role as Senior Regulations and Standardization Engineer you will cover the following areas: Strategic Standardization work You actively monitor trends and ongoing activities in relevant industry standardization, especially, but not restricted to medical devices You identify areas within e.g. IEC, NEMA and UL standards that may be of strategic relevance for the Business Line MR, both from an offensive and defensive angle which may include thorough statistical and/or technical data and analysis You develop and present strategic responses to external proposals supporting and promoting standards policies Technical Support of Standard implementation You provide standards references and interpretation support to other groups within the Business Line MR such as Research & Development, Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, etc. You provide support and guidance on present & future standards requirements affecting the design, testing, or certifications of MR products You write and implement compliant procedures documenting standard and law requirements if needed You give essential input to the list of applicable standards for MR products and solutions as provided by the standards and law process Product Certifications (Conformity Assessment) You support the internal certified test lab during product certification process and certification records of the Business Line MR To find out more about the specific business, have a look at Magnetic Resonance Imaging Your qualifications and experience: You have a university degree in electrical, mechanical, or materials engineering or a related field You have many years’ experience in the application, design, and manufacturing of electrical equipment You are a specialist within the field of compliance testing and certification; experience in standardization is a plus Ideally you have knowledge of MR or related products in the field of standards, regulations and certification and the design and manufacturing process for medical devices Familiarity with IEC, UL, CSA, and other Standards Development Organization is a plus Your attributes and skills: You are an excellent collaborator that works well in team environments You have very good verbal and written communication skills (both in German and English) to interact with customers, vendors, employees, and industry peers You bring a passion for healthcare and want to shape it with us in the future Our global team: Siemens Healthineers is a leading global medical technology company. 68,000 dedicated colleagues in over 70 countries are driven to shape the future of healthcare.
