Job Description

Department of Asian and Policy Studies  

The appointee will be responsible for providing research support to the public policy research (PPR) project: Performance-based regulation of Mass Transit Railway’s reliability performance. He/she is required to: (a) design a contingent valuation method (CVM) survey; (b) perform literature review; (c) work with a survey firm to collect CVM data; (d) prepare data for regression analysis; (e) prepare presentation materials and manuscripts; and (f) perform any other duties as assigned. This appointment will be tenable for a period of 12 months. 

Applicants should have: (a) a Master’s Degree in economics, business administration, statistics, or engineering plus at least one year post-qualification full-time work experience, or a Doctoral Degree; (b) experience in survey data management, regression analysis and regulatory economics; (c) knowledge of Hong Kong’s public transportation system; and (d) proficiency in MS Office Suite. Finally, they must have excellent communication and writing skills and high English and Chinese proficiency necessary for meeting the project’s task requirements. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
