Eaton’s Industrial Filtration Sector, Fluid Filtration Division is currently seeking a Hardware Automation Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Chanhassen, MN location. Position Overview: The Hardware Automation Engineer is responsible for contributing PROLaunch-NPI project deliverables associated with product and technology roadmap objectives. Duties include identification and development of smart filtration technologies and industrial IoT research, new product development design, component selection, prototyping, validation, manufacturing implementation, final test and product acceptance and market launch support. In this function you will: Lead and manage New Product Development projects focusing on smart filter development for filtration product lines. Provide leadership to cross-functional project teams to attain project deliverables while conforming to the PROLaunch-NPD process, project plan, key requirements, and good engineering principles. Coordinate collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Customers and End Users to develop our next- generation Filtration products and solutions. Develop project proposals that translate customer wants and needs into realized Filtration Division product deliverables. Creation and implementation of Engineering specifications, standards, techniques, knowledge and processes in support of the market launch of smart filtration products. Design and manage experimentation plans to validate research proposals, technical concepts and product performance. Maintain a high level of awareness of advances in the field of industrial IoT products through formal education, technical seminars, product design exhibitions and associations with industrial regulatory bodies. Represent the Filtration Division to internal and external customers for functional level product development initiatives. Serve as SME for technical and application support for Filtration Division smart filter products. Record any measurable statistics which your position impacts such as production expenses, maintenance expenses, sales volumes, payroll costs, capital expenditures, research budgets, cost of purchases, value of inventories controlled, employees supervised (direct and indirect). Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of three (3) years of programming experience in PLC, Java, C, Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Chanhassen, MN will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
