The opportunity:
This is a great role for someone looking to bring their expertise and passion for remuneration and reward to AIA New Zealand. As a Senior Reward Consultant, you’ll join our People and Culture team and will contribute to the strategy and delivery of the Reward and Benefits frameworks and offerings.
About the role:
This is a sole charge role where you’ll work closely with the Chief People and Culture Officer and will be responsible for;
Embedding the Reward and Benefit frameworks in NZ
Review the Rewards and Benefits offerings as needed by group or by the Chief People and Culture Officer e.g. adding a new benefit and ensuring they remain competitive to attract and retain a highly effective workforce
Overseeing and managing Global Mobility for New Zealand
Managing salary surveys and annual review of job bands and associated remuneration including benchmarking, analysis and interpretation of remuneration data internally and externally based on salary survey data
Managing cyclical reward related activities for New Zealand (e.g. TCR) working closely with Group to ensure we meet Group requirements
Providing oversight of Global Mobility for New Zealand including management of business cases, visas, relocation processes and relevant policy/process (in liaison with the relevant HR Business Partner)
Maintain the AIA Job Evaluation/Grading framework and the process for evaluating roles using Mercer methodology
Support, administrate and manage the implementation of Group-wide reward programs as required (e.g. Employee Share Purchase Plan, Long Term Incentives)
About you:
You’ll be proactive and flexible in your approach and will enjoy a busy role where you’ll partner with other stakeholders, build credibility and drive outcomes that requires multi-tasking and high attention to detail.
You’ll also;
Have a strong understanding of salary survey methodology, job evaluation practices and incentive scheme mechanisms
Ability to coordinate and drive a remuneration review process
Strong analytical and planning capability
Advanced MS Excel and MS Office skills
Good understanding of commercial and financial concepts in order to understand financial models as they relate to Total Rewards
Strong and effective relationship and communication skills
Can demonstrate a proactive work approach
Ability to understand the link between risk and reward especially in relation to conduct risk
Strong experience in a remuneration/reward-based role
