The opportunity:

We have a newly created role for a Senior Risk Manager - Transformation to join our Tax and Risk. In this role, you’ll report to the Head of Tax and Risk and will be leading and managing the Line 1 risk function for Finance and Actuarial (F&A), with a particular focus on managing risk arising from change across the business.

The role will be effective through the development of trusted adviser relationships across all levels of F&A, including the leadership team, to ensure that operational, business and conduct risks arising from change are managed effectively.

About the role:

• Monitor change arising from projects and initiatives across the business and support F&A with assessing impacts and managing risk.

• Collaborate with F&A subject matter experts (SMEs) and provide advice and guidance to assist F&A with identifying and managing delivered risk arising from projects and initiatives.

• Lead and/or participate in all Risk in Change (RiC) forums as appropriate.

• Promote a strong risk and conduct culture within F&A.

• Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders within F&A, the risk community, the wider business and with AIA Group counterparts.

About you:

• 5+ years of finance risk management experience, ideally in the financial services industry.

• Well-developed risk management skills and up to date knowledge of industry best practice and risk issues.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of finance operations, processes and business risks.

• Able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management, influencing and coaching skills.

• Ability to deal with the complexity of data, systems, products and regulatory requirements for the insurance and investment industry.

• Ability to use initiative, analytical skills, commercial acumen and good judgment in problem solving and decision making.

• Ability to consider the wider implications of decisions on the business.

• Ability to recognise opportunities for change, think outside the box and identify ideas and solutions for continuous improvement.

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
