About the role: In this role you will work in an Agile Scrum team on a new Simcenter 3D software product for Smart Virtual Sensing in the field of structural dynamics. This product allows reduced simulation models to be used in conjunction with measurements to generate virtual sensors. You will be responsible for the implementation and expansion of the numerical aspects of the module, which includes a.o. Kalman Filtering, incorporation of Reduced Order Models (ROMs) from different physics, Optimal Sensor Placement etc... The ideal candidate has a very strong knowledge of OO design and coding skills and a good understanding of the numerical aspects of the problem. Requirements & personality MSc or PhD in computer science and/or an Engineering field Solid understanding of software architecture best practices, computer science principles and complex algorithm designs Expert in and hands-on experience with C++, Python and Matlab Experience in the fields of Estimation, Kalman Filtering and/or Model Order Reduction Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Working experience with the Atlassian tool suite (i.e. Jira Agile) or similar Previous experience with our Siemens NX Open framework is a strong asset We are looking for a great teammate with an analytical approach, willing to pick up new challenges, someone who is pragmatic, result oriented and inventive regarding complex problems.
