The Role:
The Battery Management Systems (BMS) Group at Analog Devices Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Software Marketing Manager to develop and capture software business opportunities. 
The successful candidate will be responsible for helping with automotive software market segmentation and analysis, investigate and utilize different software revenue models, work with sales to convert software and development tools product opportunities, as well as influence the strategic roadmap for next generation software products.

 

Responsibilities/Duties:
•    Develop and implement business development plans to meet product line goals
•    Manage and expand business with key OEM/ Tier 1 customers; identify needs to be filled and work with internal groups to fill these needs
•    Proactively initiate customer contact on a regular basis to understand their goals, challenges, and requirements for embedded software initiatives
•    Identify market potential by qualifying customers; expand sales in existing accounts by introducing new products, processes and services
•    Contribute information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and providing feedback from customers
•    Identify, specify and propose projects and/or solutions to assist customers integrating ADI software into their products or processes
•    Identify and facilitate support solutions for ADI software used by customers
•    Present ADI software products at industry and Vector events
•    Work with account management to follow opportunities through to a sale including issue resolutions, customer satisfaction, and product deliveries
•    Investigate, build, and convert new streams of revenue and business models
•    Drive revenue, gross margin, market share and other KPIs as determined.
•    Work with applications and system applications engineers to develop clear understanding of system requirements, gaps in the ecosystem, and value that can be provided.
•    Work closely with sales to drive pipeline growth and opportunity conversion to design wins.
•    Engage with third party ecosystem partners to determine a make, buy, or partner strategy.
•    Support worldwide sales team with collateral material, product presentations, training, pricing, quoting and competitive analysis.
•    Understanding of product benefits to end applications.
•    Understanding of technical specifications and differentiation from competition.
•    Write press releases, promotional literature for publication.
•    Manage strategic marketing campaigns.
•    Customer visits to identify market needs and future products direction.

 

Required Skills/Experience:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering. MBA preferred.
•    Minimum of 15+ years industry experience, preferably with background in embedded software utilized in automotive and electronic systems.  
•    5+ year experience in product management and/or business development of automotive embedded software solutions and services selling to OEMs
•    Full cycle sales experience, prospecting to design win, and fluency with engineering, executives, decision makers and influencers, and procurement
•    Prior experience handling RFI, RFQ responses to large automotive OEMs
•    Prior experience in development and capturing revenue in emerging automotive and industrial energy markets
•    Prior experience working with legal and engineering in creating EULAs, SLAs, and collaboration agreements is desirable
•    System design or applications background in BMS electronics or software is desirable.
•    Proven success in leading cross functional teams using indirect management skills.
•    Strong understanding of OEM/ Tier 1 customer embedded software challenges and market requirements such as ASPICE, ISO26262, etc.
•    Ability to translate complex embedded software solutions into business value especially at management levels with the customer
•    Knowledge of OEM/Tier1 automotive ECU development and testing process
•    Motivated, results oriented and creative problem solver with good writing, presentation, and overall communication skills
•    Willingness and ability to learn something new quickly
•    Comfortable taking calculated risks
