Job Description

As a Senior Safety Specialist you will be responsible to ensure a smooth start and continuous legally compliant operation within the area of responsibility, and to develop, implement and maintain the management system. Your responsibility covers the provision of expertise on hazard identification, risk evaluation as well as the development of preventive measures that comply with legal and internal BMW Group requirements.
 

Your work will focus primarily on:


-    Implementing and executing management system according to ISO 45001/ OHSAS 18001 standards and reporting of the relevant KPI’s.
-    Representing and ensuring legal compliance in the area of responsibility during construction stages, ramp-up phase and after start of production.
-    Being an active member of the audit team and supporting the Head of Safety with audit preparations, reporting and incident analysis.
-    Engaging actively in safety and ergonomics projects in connection with associated technology or department.
-    Providing services to related technology in all safety and ergonomics topics particularly planning, machine procurement process and acceptances.
-    Consulting management on safety performance, incidents and activities.

-    University degree in Safety / EHS engineering or similar field.
-    Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in occupational safety and ergonomics in a manufacturing environment including 2 years project leadership experience and 2 years of experience in implementing and maintaining an effective safety management system (ISO 45001, OSHAS 18001).
-    Experience as an internal auditor is required. Lead-auditor qualification is an advantage.
-    Deep knowledge of Hungarian legal safety requirements and EU directives and applicable standards.
-    Very good MS Office and presentation skills, especially Excel and Power Point.
-    Hungarian and English business fluent – both written and spoken. German would be an advantage.
