As a Sr. Scientist NLP, you will be responsible for: performing research/investigation pertaining to the development and evaluation of LLMs based on unimodal (e.g., text) and multimodal data (e.g., text and images) investigating use cases for LLMs applications in the domains of medical diagnosis and healthcare customer service creating and testing production-level prototypes and/or experimental models related to the use cases for the applications mentioned above generating technical reports and other relevant documents to support productization of the prototypes/models advising senior research and business stakeholders on various aspects of your work identifying and applying problem-solving skills in addressing scientific and business challenges of interest to the company This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to do develop your career with Healthineers You have completed studies as MTRA (medical technical radiology assistant, radiographer) or MTA (medical technical assistant) and have at least several years of relevant clinical MR experience as MTRA or application specialist You have completed and applied a broad knowledge of machine learning and NLP, especially LLMs, for complex assignments (healthcare domain focus is a plus) You have strong hands-on experience in programming (Python, Java) and using modern ML packages e.g., tensorflow You are familiar with fundamental concepts, practices, and principles of software development, version control, and cloud-based infrastructure/platforms You have a track record of publications & presentations at top-tier NLP conferences/competitions Required skills to have for the success of this role PhD in computer science or related discipline able to work well as an individual contributor and within a multidisciplinary team able to provide mentorship or support other colleagues (e.g., scientists, engineers, interns) towards their professional development Willing to travel up to 10% At Siemens Healthineers, we value those who dedicate their energy and passion to a greater cause.
