Protein Technologies produces key enabling reagents to support the early discovery of small and large molecule therapeutics and the development of ground breaking novel modalities. Protein engineering prosecutes on meaningful targets and tool antibodies/protein-based therapeutic modalities following the operational principle of design (structural analysis, computational design), build (cloning, protein expression, purification) and test (biophysical characterization). The Senior Scientist serves as Protein Technologies Lead for early stage therapeutic projects, works with partner functions to devise and operationalize reagent production strategies, drives scientific innovation in protein engineering through technology advancement and contributes to pipeline reagent production needs. Activities will be divided between hands-on lab work and project leadership with responsibilities including:

  • Representing Protein Technologies as project team lead with partner functions to devise reagent production strategies.
  • Expertly executing on protein engineering projects from construct design through protein production.
  • Supporting structure-based design activities such as fusion protein construct design, complex immunogen design, protein stabilization and affinity modulation of protein/protein interactions.
  • Expressing designed proteins.
  • Continually evaluating and incorporating new technologies to support protein engineering and design.
