Job Responsibilities
1. Perform laboratory specific methods, as listed in Page 8 Section 2.2.2, on raw materials or finished products, media making, special projects or specified testing as directed.
2. Set up and maintain microbiological cultures based on available SOP/protocols.
3. Perform routine lab housekeeping and basic equipment maintenance which include the following:
- Conducting monthly eBOS audits
- RegularWeekly equipment checks
- Daily checks
- Discard expired media and completed testing samples.
4. Maintain equipment records/log books to ensure required laboratory safety and quality standard is maintained.
5. Stock lab (media and lab supplies)
6. Manage laboratory purchases of media and consumables supplies.
7. Read and complete documentation of work through data recording and/or electronic note book to ensure timely submission of test results
8. Liaise and plan out the required experiments and sample submission details with Method Owners
9. Conduct all assigned work in compliance with P&G safety and quality requirements
10. Communicate immediately any product testing deviation to P&G method owners.
11. Communicate equipment failures, or any other laboratory anomalies directly to Team Leader/Supervisor
2. Provide secondary support for absent Specialists in the team or when additional support is required.
For Senior Specialists, the additional work scopes would include:
a. Supporting Team Leader/Supervisor in implementing operation and process improvements in labs.
b. Assisting Team Supervisor and P&G Method owners to write-up work-flow and success criteria for required methods.
c. A mentor to guide and cross-train the other Specialists with on lab operations and techniques with approved work flows.
