Capital VSTAR Integrator Tool team within the Integrated Electrical Systems (IES) group is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. IES’s customers use our automotive embedded software and tools to push the boundaries of technology and design better vehicles, enabling processes that are inherently faster and delivering better quality. Main Responsibilities Design and implement features as part of a team. Unit test implementation, issue resolution, technical debt elimination. Participation in multi-site development projects. Support and mentor junior developers within the team (code, design, architectural review & guidance). Develop functionality within a large Java based tool suite (making hands-on contribution to the code and design). Take technical ownership of functional areas within the code ensuring a high level of quality, design best practice and maintainability. Work closely with Product Owners to understand customer flows, manage the backlog and elaborate technical requirements & document solutions. Work with the customer support team to investigate and manage customer issues & activities. Required skills, knowledge and experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. +4 years of experience in Java SE 8+ programming skills. Experience in desktop application development, Eclipse-based application development, Groovy, Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, BitBucket is a plus! Familiar with AUTOSAR standard. Automotive development experience is a plus. Strong communication skills with a quantitative analysis oriented mindset. We’re Siemens.
