COSINE Servicing and Delivery (CSD) organization is responsible for design and development of packaging and delivery pipeline for Windows, Mobile, HoloLens and other device families keeping them secure with the latest security, feature and quality updates. This group is the heart of Windows as a Service, the start of a new generation of how Windows is delivered to customers, partners and enterprises.  

Our Browser team is part of CSD, and we are looking for strong Software Engineers to push the next innovations on the web by driving actions based on deep customer insights. Our Browser team owns end to end Browser servicing including but not limited to the following categories: 

• Browser Applications 
• Document Object Model(DOM), Input Editing 
• Layout, Media Composition & Rendering 
• Network, Navigation & Infra 
• Script engine 
• Data, Telemetry and Tools 

Responsibilities

• Security-related work, including industry-wide applicability issues such as the recently public Meltdown and Spectre
• Working on customer bugs that span all areas of the browser, from networking, to the underlying object model, layout and rendering, script engines, and more
• Handling the engineering changes across a complex product matrix that includes modern and legacy operating systems
• Defining and executing the lifecycle plan of our browsers
• Keeping up-to-date with constant changes to standards and web-related technologies from the industry, including other browsers

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional C/C++ experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline
• Proven experience in problem solving, design, coding, debugging and testing skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Desire to collaborate with others
• Browser development experience
• Web Apps development experience
• Passion for driving features end-to-end and solving hard problems
