The charter of the Windows Azure Security group is to ensure that Azure is the most secure and resilient cloud platform.

 

We are looking for a talented engineer  to work on a distributed system for configuring, managing, monitoring and automating security settings and behaviors of Azure services.

As an Azure Security engineer you will have the opportunity to work on underlying security technologies as well as helping build a scalable and reliable system that is used by services across Azure to ensure safe and compliant management of their security-related identity/authentication/authorization/etc.) configurations. 

 

This is a unique opportunity for working on core security technologies, solving customer problems and contributing to high visibility projects which are a high priority for Azure’s phenomenal growth.

Responsibilities

You will be joining us in contributing to ever increasing the productivity of Azure Microsoft engineers across the company while allowing them to build secure and trusted services.

 

You will be using Azure components, C#, .net and .net core, Angular, Blazor, ASP .NET, REST, SQL, NoSQl, Service Fabric, Az DevOps and other open source technologies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of industry experience as software engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of C# and .NET technologies

 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with asynchronous coding patterns
  • Experience in debugging and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with distributed systems and REST APIs
  • Experience with online services
  • Experience with security authentication/authorization principles and technologies
  • Experience with database systems either SQL or NoSQL.
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms (e.g. Service Fabric, Kubernetes, etc.)

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
