The Azure One Deploy team within the Azure Compute organization builds the smarts at the crossroads of all three. The team is responsible for multi-level monitoring of both service and infrastructure health, and dynamically applies the health data to safely stage and orchestrate deployments and repairs for customer and infrastructural services on a global scale, across millions of virtual machines, while maintaining high availability guarantees on services themselves. In addition, it is used by third party Microsoft customers, first party Microsoft services (like HDInsight, SQL Azure, Cosmos, and IndexServe), as well as for orchestrating upgrades and repairs to core infrastructural services (like Compute, Networking, and Storage stacks).

The Azure One Deploy System holds the key to unlocking rapid innovation while providing the most up-to-date infrastructure for customers maintaining service availability and quality. Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing, building, and supporting software to support Azure Compute. 

As a part of the team, you will also gain a solid understanding of what it takes to manage the Azure cloud and how to work with large scale services. A Software Engineer with a strong analytics mindset will be particularly beneficial in our team, to tune the service and drive the results with service analytics.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 6+ years of commercial software development experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent industry experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with distributed systems
• Experience coding in C++, C#, or Java
   

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
