Location Enlighted – A Siemens Company’s Global Technology Center, Chennai Role Senior Engineer Experience 4 - 6 years Responsibilities • Develop and extend the User Interface for current IoT products • Develop intuitive, attractive, and usable interface in cooperation with UI designers • Design new features to address customer use cases in existing markets • Work closely with product management and with customers to understand how products could be more effective, and put those insights into action • Identify opportunities for system improvements that can enhance the operation of the entire end-to-end system • Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team spanning hardware, software, cloud development and product management. Candidate Profile Requirements: • 4+ years of professional experience in software development in the below areas: o Good experience writing code in Javascript (typescript knowledge in addition is plus), HTML, CSS for user interfaces spanning mobile and web o Hands on experience developing production-grade applications using React JS o Knowledge of Front-end frameworks AngularJS is a plus o Mobile application development using React Native is a huge plus o Understanding – web service development o Knowledge of multi-tier architectures across multiple technology. o Database Engines – MySQL / Postgres o Testing Frameworks – Jest, Enzyme • Know-hows of unit testing and experience writing quality unit test cases (experience in Test Driven Development is huge plus) • Good understanding of data structures and algorithms • Good grasp of software architecture • Experience with one or many of the following tools o SCM - Git, Bitbucket o IDEs - IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code o CI/CD - Jenkins o Others – Jira • It is highly desirable that the candidate possess one or more of the following: o Cloud development experience in GCP, AWS, Azure o Experience building complex, scalable, high-performance software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers o Designing and deploying dynamically scalable, highly available, fault tolerant, and reliable applications on cloud o Knowledge of multiple programming languages like Java is a plus • Proactive business skills and strong collaborative skills are required o Self-Directed, High Energy o Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision as part of a globally distributed virtual team o Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, product lines, roles, and geographical and time zone boundaries o Excellent oral/written communication & listening skills will be necessary to present information, analysis & recommendations to all levels of employees, including management, and customers. o High degree of organization to manage & maintain project plans, road maps & provide accurate updates as part of the review cycle.
