The successful candidate for this position will serve as a Senior Software Engineer in Platform team who is responsible for design and implementation of the system hosted on AWS Cloud platform.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with the Principal Engineer / team leader  to understand business requirements and translate that into technical design which is reviewed and signed off by stakeholders.

• Responsible for designing the architecture and aligning with the architecture principal.

• Lead technical design and implementation of a feature.

• Design underlying database schema and interface.

• Implement high quality code with comprehensive unit testing,

• Be a subject matter expert in the software development domain.

• Fix bugs raised from stabilization, integration and production.

• Troubleshoot issues raised from production and resolve customer problems.

• Evaluate and adopt technologies which improve the team efficiency and platform capability

• Code review peer developer's code and provide constructive feedbacks to ensure consistency and quality of code

• Mentor junior engineers, new hires and interns.

• Share technical knowledge inside / across the team.

• Participate in the hiring process.

• BS/MS in Computer science or related technical major is required.

• 10 years working experience in the software development domain is required.

• English communication for requirements and technical discussion is required.

• Solid computer science background including Algorithm, Data Structure, Operation System etc.

• Deep programming skills for backend technologies in one of NodeJS/PHP/C#.

• Deep understanding of public Cloud environments, like AWS/Ali Cloud/ Azure.

• Be proficient in the frontend programming languages, like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, Vue.

• Strong Analytical Problem Solving Skill.

• Ability to quickly learn complexity systems and new technologies.

• Proven track record of quick learning business. 

• Proven track record of releasing commerce software products.

• Proven track record of design/architecture of large components.

• Experience with large distributed database design is preferred.

• Experience in building and running large scale distributed online services is a big plus.
