Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS) is developing the next generation of security tools, when your data is outside your network, and firewalls and perimeters don’t work. Our technology allows organizations to protect their data in the cloud from any location, device or network. 

Proxy group within MCAS develops a cloud-native security platform allowing the customers to apply real-time data and threat protection controls on public and private applications and resources in the cloud and on premises.  

Being a part of the infrastructure team, you will design and implement critical high performance, scalable distributed software platforms. You will also be a part of the open source community, contribute to major open source projects and attend conventions.

Qualifications

Required Skills 

• 8+ years of experience in design and development of highly available distributed systems in cloud environment (preferably Azure/AWS)  - A MUST
• Profound knowledge of network protocol stacks and operating systems internals (preferably GNU/Linux) 
• Strong software engineering fundamentals 
• Passion for agile development methodology 

Desired Skills 

• Background in data security and identity management 
• Experience with containers and orchestration tools (docker, k8s)  
• Familiarity with reverse proxy solutions (preferably Nginx, OpenResty)
