Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers
• Contribute key ideas to team, data, and service vision
• Attract, hire, and retain your team of diverse and talented engineers
• Partner with other engineering teams
• Take an active role in defining architecture, building team roadmaps, and managing quality
• Implementing, and testing pipelines & components of data analytics tools
• Gain a deep understanding of our data sources, and ensure their quality
• Dogfood our system to develop actionable insights for Microsoft Store’s growth

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of data related software development experience
• 3+ years of experience with big data technologies such as Kafka, EventHub, Spark, Kusto, Azure Data Lake, and Cosmos
• 3+ years experience with ETL, Data Modeling, and working with Business Intelligence systems.
• Bachelors in computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Additional Qualifications: 

• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, programming patterns, and solving complex problems
• Excellent scripting, rapid prototyping and data analysis skills
• Some experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions and creating web services
