We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to join our management team. The Senior Software Engineering Manager will work in an Agile (SCRUM & Kanban teams) software development environment, reporting to the Vice President of Engineering. This role is responsible for providing operational and technical leadership for software engineering and quality assurance, both in the U.S. and abroad. This critical role requires strong technical, leadership, and communication skills including team direction, coaching, mentorship, and motivating a team and individual contributors. Have full life cycle experience developing, delivering to production, and maintaining commercial software products Have SaaS/Cloud based product experience with very scalable designs Have excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies and other software development best practices, tools, and development processes to optimize product engineering throughput and quality Have the ability to work with multiple levels in our organization, in particular Delivery Operations, and in a global setting The ideal candidate will have experience in the computer technology industry, with a period of that experience being served in a Senior Management role within software development. You will have experience working with offshore teams, implementing SaaS and/or service-oriented architecture to support a business requiring substantial scale, and a proven record of accomplishment successfully leading software engineering, with a strong sense of quality ownership and focus on customer satisfaction. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate best practices for information architecture, design, performance and scalability, quality assurance, and strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques, have exceptional management skills, with the ability to clearly communicate deadlines and guarantee success. Experience developing code, especially with.NET MVC, C#, and/or Java, developing cloud native applications. Familiarity with technologies supporting operations such as Confluence, Jira, Git, quality assurance, training, continuous delivery, and other tools used to manage the development process. A high degree of creativity and latitude is expected, accompanied by a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with advanced degree preferred.
