The System, Software and Simulation Engineering (S3E) team is part of Intel's Software and Advanced Technology Group (SATG) and a key contributor to its software-first mission. We advance Intel's architecture, software and product leadership by providing a full spectrum of system simulation tools and early functional, performance and power/thermal platform models to accelerate and fortify all phases of product development.

We are looking for exceptional system simulation managers with a proven track record demonstrating leadership and innovation on large and complex system simulation solutions. May include the development of reference AI software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value of Intel AI products, the development and/or optimization of workloads for AI benchmarks, and workloads for simulation to support pre-Si power and performance analysis and architecture recommendations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Transforming functional modeling architecture to ensure world class model delivery with improved predictability and developer efficiency

• Leading group-wide functional modeling architecture forum

• Improving seamless model and simulator interoperability with external customers and partners

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors OR Masters with OR Ph.D in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Software related technical disciplines.

• 10+ years of experience with all aspects of large-scale software development lifecycle.

• 10+ years applying software tools and best practices for productivity, quality and high performance.

• 5+ years system level modeling and methodology development.

• 5+ years object-oriented software construction experience.

• 5+ years of C/C++ programming experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of modern microprocessor and SoC architecture.

• Demonstrated successful application of shift-left software development.

• Proficiency bringing up a full software stack including BIOS, firmware, Operating System, and applications.

• Proficiency with Simics, Docea and CoFluent.

• SystemC TLM2 modeling expertise.

• Performance and power/thermal modeling experience.

• Proficiency with Linux and Windows based software development environments and tools.

• Development and debug experience with full software stack including BIOS, firmware, Operating System, and applications.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
