Bentley Systems is seeking a talented Senior Software Quality Analyst to join our successful Civil products team. The Senior Software Quality Analyst is focused on the development and execution of detailed tests based on configuration requirements. You will be a part of the multi-national team that interfaces cross-functionally with other teams (Technical Support, Development and Product Managers) and utilize problem solving and technical skills to implement user solutions.
Location: This position can be located from a home-based office in Canada in Eastern or Central time zone.
Responsibilities
- Owns testing of assigned products: estimate testing tasks, create test plans, responsible for the testing, validation, and functional verification. In addition, provides suggestions on how testing can be optimized.
- Detect, analyze, log and track software bugs/defects and follow the bug life cycle.
- Verify/Validate User reported issues.
- Conducts ongoing functional testing, regression testing, and analysis and testing of the software products.
- Create, identify, document, and execute test cases from design documentation and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with other team members and product managers to accomplish the testing and development objectives.
- Document procedures and recommendations for all phases of product testing.
- Learn necessary Bentley Products that interact with the assigned products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or relevant experience.
- Must have design experience in highway Road and/or Rail.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in QA
- CAD design software experience (Civil3D, AutoCAD, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer or OpenRail Designer)
- Working knowledge of Excel.
- Good analytical skills with strong problem-solving ability and investigation skills.
- Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
- Good communication skills, fluent in English and must work well in a team environment and interact with offices at overseas locations.
- Must exhibit initiative and be a self-starter who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Aptitude to analyze information, develop recommendations and present proposed solutions.
- Document Management experience is desired, especially ProjectWise.
- Knowledge of Access is a plus
- Knowledge of OpenFlows is preferred
