Are you a passionate Senior Software Verification Engineer with extensive experience in the testing of cutting-edge software for instruments / analysers? Siemens Healthineers based in Swords, Dublin, are expanding the software team to complement our existing broad-range of Engineering competencies. The successful applicant will be a key member of this team and is expected to develop rigorous software testing strategies for next generation medical diagnostic analysers which cover immunoassay, chemistry, and hematology testing. The applicant must have a proven track record in developing automated, manual and system level scripts, that utilise the latest specialized test applications to support the release of high-quality robust software. As the Senior Software Verification Lead you will be responsible for training and mentoring other Engineering team members with regards to state-of-the-art test techniques and best practices. The applicant must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and in a systematic fashion with other Engineering functions (e.g., Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, System Integration, Biochemistry) to deliver high-end innovative test solutions at pace. The role involves working on a wide range of diverse cross-functional projects related to support front-end and real-time innovative software solutions. As a key member of the team you will be part of a highly innovative multidisciplinary Engineering group working on complex problems to serve the needs of laboratories of any size – today and tomorrow. The critical skill set we are looking for Proven experience in the development and execution of robust test strategies to support high-quality software solutions; experience in a regulated environment would be beneficial Must have extensive experience in leading a high performing software test team It would be advantageous to have the following experience Generating software design input requirements based on user needs and stake holder input Developing test and verification strategies based on design input requirements Executing automated and manual test methodologies Writing bug reports and manage burndown (e.g. Jira, ADS) Planning, writing and executing verification activities within the overall software project Scripting languages a significant advantage (e.g. Python, Perl, Bash etc.) Application experience of test tools (e.g. Selenium, IBM RFT) Programming knowledge (C, C#, C++) Applying quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle Experience in security feature (e.g. Penetration & Vulnerability testing) Capable of developing good relationships with software developers and the wider engineering team to communicate bugs, resolve issues and ensure complete test coverage Required for the success of this role High paced individual who can lead and develop a high performing software verification team Eager and passionate in defining the over test strategy, develop roadmaps and lead test execution in collaboration with key stakeholders Ability to work across multiple functional boundaries to deliver the desired outcome Readily accepts ownership, accountability, and responsibility with a proven track record in delivering effective solutions from concept to implementation at pace Ability to make informed key verification decisions to drive the business forward An excellent team player who knows how to work in a team environment Excellent communications skills - written and verbal skills are required Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical discipline (Electronics / Software / Electrical / Mechatronic) 5+ years’ relevant engineering experience in leading a high performing software verification team At Siemens Healthineers, we value those who dedicate their energy and passion to a greater cause.
