Senior Solution Consultant, RWS Language Solutions

 

Full-time, Seoul, South Korea – Permanent Contract

JOB PURPOSE

Performs the full range of consultative and sales support services to cultivate, obtain, and retain customers by helping them understand how RWS Language solutions can help achieve their business goals.

Applies advanced product/solution and sales expertise in supporting the sales function in driving revenue growth.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with sales teams to grow existing accounts and develop new business by providing specific product/solution expertise (e.g., preparing solution presentations, conducting demonstrations, developing solution specific collateral).
  • Analyzes customer’s business needs and system requirements in order to determine if opportunity is a good fit with RWS solutions and provides advice and guidance to the sales team in developing the sales strategy/approach for the client.
  • Understands the current market in his/her solution area (e.g., competitors, market influences, regulations) and provides advice and guidance to the sales team in factoring this information into their sales plans/tactics.
  • Working in conjunction with the sales team, champions the “voice of the customer” to help internal stakeholders understand the customers perspective and business challenges.
  • Prepares and delivers detailed collateral (e.g., solution briefs, presentations, demo materials) that demonstrates RWS value add capabilities.
  • Have a tight ownership of solutions implementation processes to make sure all stakeholders are performing as required.
  • Works collaboratively in cross functional teams (e.g., sales, product management, product marketing, development, customer support, project management, service delivery) to deliver a unified approach to interacting with the customer that results in building confidence and trust with the client.
  • Leveraging strong working relationships with the sales team and credibility with the customer, helps to manage customer expectations in order to drive successful outcomes.
  • As a subject matter expert in his/her solution area, contributes to external forums (e.g., professional associations, conferences, trade shows) and may present on behalf of RWS.

 

QUALIFICATION

  • Degree level (BA, BS) in Languages or Translation and/or Interpretation or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or experience in account management and client facing roles.
  • Strategic and process improvement thinking.
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in English and Korean.
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat, html, xml).
  • Knowledge of TMS, MT, CMS, CAT and DTP software.
