Job Overview
The cbFC NAFTA Hub team in Portland is responsible for finance processes and methods in the NAFTA region. The team maintains and develops Daimler cbFC ('common basic Finance and Controlling') processes and methods based on SAP and acts as 2nd level support between key users on business side and the 3rd level support located in the headquarter in Germany. The goal is to deliver best-practice business processes to the cbFC user community. Besides regular support activities the team is running various project activities to make sure that business needs are met starting with process changes including functional system enhancements all the way to full-blown roll-out projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage cbFC support activities for Financial Accounting for cbFC NAFTA HUB entities.
- Work with the respective Finance & Accounting key users on process and system related issues as well as with Level 3 support on the resolution of incidents.
- Work on local changes requests and implement new system functionality provided by the cbFC Template.
- Facilitate communication and know how transfer to the key users of respective areas.
- Manage cbFC implementation projects and other business driven projects with cbFC and Accounting related expertise and knowledge considering efficient and effective processes and methods and strategic corporate goals.
- Drive continuous improvement and recommend process changes (local changes in process, local changes in upstream legacy systems, or changes in the cbFC Template) and work with local management to design go-forward processes.
- Provide strategic and operational direction by advising on the impact and effect of process and system changes, and develop recommendations to support successful implementation of business changes.
- Perform regression testing in area of responsibility to ensure system and process stability for NAFTA Locations.
- Close alignment of projects and other initiatives with the global support team in Stuttgart.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university and 6+ years of related experience required.
- Master's degree in Business Administration preferred.
- A degree focus in Information System Management preferred
- An attached resume is required
- Strong understanding of Accounting and Controlling principles and process flows required
- Advanced experience working with SAP ERP system, specifically SAP-MM required
- Experience with SAP-FI preferred
- General in-depth understanding of SAP required
- Ability to drive projects through implementation required
- Ability to analyze established processes and to design new processes required
- Ability to communicate deficiencies and propose solutions required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
- Systems implementation and support experience is preferred
- German language skills is a plus
- SAP Consultant certification preferred
- Certified Information System Auditor preferred
- Certified Management Accountant preferred
- Business Administration, Information System Management, or related
