Our location in Abbott Park, Illinois currently has an opportunity for a Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition.

This individual will provide recruitment within the Corporate division which includes IT, Legal, Engineering, Finance and more. The Corporate division is a global shared service organization that works across all product divisions from Devices and Diagnostics to Nutrition and Established Pharmaceuticals. This recruiter will be responsible for managing job requisitions, screening candidates, sourcing of passive candidates, and driving the full lifecycle recruitment process to completion.

Operating out of the main buildings around HQ campus, this opportunity offers exposure to core elements and players of the Abbott enterprise. It is a critical role that has a dramatic impact on business performance and candidate experience in support of a global division that is growing and diversifying its scope.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide recruitment and customer service for multiple client areas
  • Review account history as well as market and industry trends
  • Develop a hiring plan for each recruitment need
  • Interact with internal clients to define position requirements
  • Source passive candidates and provide diverse slates of candidates
  • Interview, evaluate and recommend candidates
  • Facilitate consensus building and sound decision-making among interviewers
  • Monitor account goals and deliverables (cycle time, cost, quality, etc.)
  • Address process non-compliance with hiring managers
  • Develop competitive offers and close the offer process
  • Facilitate an effective and efficient candidate process through onboarding
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with hiring managers and candidates
  • Ensure Workday database is updated in an accurate and timely manner
     

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Recruiting
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other tools/social media as well as proactive recruiting and sourcing
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with the Internet
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks, problem resolution, prioritization, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and networks
  • Ability to follow-up, communicate effectively and work with all levels within an organization
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of employment systems, preferably Workday
  • Strong ability to be a "closer" in a highly competitive market
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-divisional business unit model
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Prior recruiting experience in the medical device or healthcare industry
  • Prior recruitment agency experience
