Senior Statistical Programmer/ Gaithersburg, MD (full-time/ Mon-Fri / 40 hrs/week) – Responsible for leading statistical analyses for programming deliveries of clinical studies or  small-to-medium sized and complex clinical project. Ensures high quality is built into own deliverables and the quality delivered by other programmers. Programs independently with high efficiency and quality. Evaluates and writes specifications and oversees completeness of relevant documentation. Contributes to or drives the development of best practices to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness within function. Ensures compliance to standards and automation usage. Plan and lead team activities and tasks. Identifies, manages and communicates risks. Employs mathematical, programming and project management practices in managing aspects of drug or technical projects.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Pharmacy, Statistics or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered, as a Data Analyst or a related position within the pharmaceutical industry. Must have three (3) years of experience with all of the following within the pharmaceutical industry: Statistical Analysis Software (SAS)-SAS/Base, SAS/Macros, SAS/Stat, SAS/SQL, SAS/Graph, SAS/ODS, Pinnacle21, R, and Define.xml; SAS programming in clinical studies; Macro programming; Lab data processing; Data coding process, coding dictionaries and medical terms; Technical and Regulatory requirements for Clinical Trials Programming including 21 CFR – Part 11, ICH E3, E6, E9, and eCDT; Clinical (CDISC – Clinical Data Interchange Data Consortium) standards and Good Clinical Practices.
