Job Description
Our client is a famous and international retail brand with stores all over the world. Due to upcoming new stores opening in Asia, they are looking for an experienced project manager with interior/ architectural background & retail project experiences.
What you do?
- Work closely and report directly to Vice President.
- Report all progress to VP - Store Projects.
- Coordinate and supervise all architectural and construction activities involved with the renovation or creation of a new store or office space.
- Create a schedule of all phases of the project using the designated software systems.
- Translate all executive demands into an organized and logical solution.
- Hire and manage construction consultants in an effective manner.
- Work closely with VP - Store Projects and other internal Departments -Visual Merchandising, IT, Loss Prevention, Store Manager and Country Manager- as well as external suppliers to handle costs, schedule and quality control of projects.
- Collect information, define timing and prepare and update Cost Plan Report. Approve Direct Vendor’s offers.
- Keep Senior Management informed about the Budget status. Collect periodical cost report from Local Consultants and Contractors. Create a thorough and comprehensive cost plan report to be used to check invoice consistency and issue payment. Send periodical report of Budget status to Accounting Dept.
- Assign the job to the local architect, prepare lay-out and revise it with all actors involved.
- Evaluate offers and assign work
- Collaborate with Finance and Legal Office to define contracts and leases.
- Co-ordinate suppliers of millwork and furniture to prepare designs, manage achieving authorizations for proceeding in the realization of the projects, visit construction site / vendors HQ, manage possible transfer of goods, commodities, people from a temporary store to the definitive one and handle extraordinary repairs of existing stores.
What you need?
- Degree holder in Architecture, with a minimum of 15 years experience including high quality facades and interiors
- Architecture background or extensive experiences (15+ years) in Interior Design
- Experience of luxury retail design is highly desirable but not essential
- With strong project management skills and experiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Meticulous with effective planning and coordination skills
- Proficiency in English and Chinese. Mandarin is essential.
- Prior experience working on China Projects is advantageous
- Willing to travel frequently in China
