Eaton’s Hydraulics division is currently seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer. This position is based at our Van Wert OH facility. Relocation assistance is offered for this position. Position Overview: Proactively engage our supply base as an integral part of our business in the drive for zero defects quality performance. This position will lead proactive supplier performance improvement activities of suppliers identified by the organization and support the deployment of standardized processes for supplier quality. In this function you will: Support / Perform the execution of processes and tasks associated with supplier performance improvement Monitor supplier performance on a weekly basis - Supplier quality dashboard and WISPER Lead/support process assessments and other supplier performance improvement activities for Focus Supplier or top disruptive suppliers. Report status of focus supplier reviews with plant staff in Management Review Attend/lead weekly cross functional supplier quality team meetings Quality Management Systems Ensure the standardized Van Wert processes and requirements for the supplier quality management system are established, implemented, measured, and maintained within the organization. Lead development of gap analysis; support/lead deployment of IATF QMS requirements for Supplier Quality Participate in an annual Internal Audit as lead/auditor Supplier Performance Improvement Bi-annual review supplier performance ratings with plant staff in order to support the identification of the most disruptive suppliers for systemic improvement actions through a focused, supplier review and tracking process. Weekly review with assigned plant on supplier performance ratings for identified focus suppliers Support validation of the implementation of corrective / improvement actions at the focus supplier, when needed, as part of the graduation of identified focus suppliers. Follow up the performance of selected suppliers that went through a focused supplier process including systemic corrective actions and potential site visits for positive supplier performance metric impact. Support proactive supplier improvement activities determined by negative trending performance metrics prior to identification for focus supplier process improvement activity. Monthly quality performance review with top focus suppliers to identify areas of improvement, and track to closure with sustainable impact Perform proactive supplier process assessment reviews at identified supplier sites Supplier Change Requests (SCR) Ensure voice of quality is represented in supplier requested changes to determine feasibility and provide recommendations on supplier PPAP submission requirements as applicable. Attend SCR and MCO meetings as assigned Provide approval/rejection as voice of quality of supplier change requests Supplier PPAP process Monitor Supplier PPAP process to identify suppliers which may show systemic gaps in the compliance to our requirements. Drive deployment of incoming inspection process through a risk analysis of component characteristics, and deploy a skip lot plan through WISPER Eaton has announced it has reached an agreement to sell its Hydraulics Business to Danfoss A/S. This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of Q2 in 2021 and this position is expected to remain with the Hydraulics Business and would transfer to Danfoss A/S. upon close. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Hydraulics Business when the transaction closes, Danfoss A/S will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time. Minimum three (3) years of combined experience in a Quality or Supplier Quality role This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
