Global Logistics has approximately 165 employees, based in 39 different countries across the world. The Logistics Team are responsible for leading the distribution of all products, delivered through +1200 routes around the world. That’s 100% of AZ’s commercial shipments between points in the supply chain, from international freight logistics right through to in-country distribution; getting medicines from factory to customer.

The role:

You will be responsible for management of  Supplier (Logistic Service Provider) of a large, complex regional Distribution Hub (Budapest, Hungary) and other Suppliers with local operation in various CEE Countries, ensuring the delivery of customer service, quality and cost targets, in compliance to GDP standards.

Key accountabilities:

In this role you will  ensure Suppliers day to day operational Service delivery, ensuring orders delivered On Time and Stock Outs avoided. Planning horizon is typically Annual and Service Delivery Review Cycle Weekly to Quarterly.

You will provides tactical and operational leadership to Suppliers, engaging Suppliers in creating a sustainable Lean culture of continuous improvement.

You will ensure required Service standard by holding Supplier to account and remediating any Service issues impacting performance, collaborating with the Supplier to drive value.

You will also identify and deliver operational improvements to increase the efficiency of the Distribution function across the area.

You will be owning the budget of the cost of service through financial planning and cost monitoring.

Ensure that your area of responsibility is aligned with all local legal requirements and AstraZeneca compliance requirements.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree – equivalent experience will be taken into account

We prefer:

• Professional qualification in distribution
• Experienced Lean Practitioner
• Customer Service or Management experience
• International experience
• Ability to speak additional languages

(Hungarian)

Experiences:

• Life Science Industry experience, > 5 year in GxP regulated environments
• Knowledge of Logistics Industry, especially in the area of international distribution of pharmaceutical products
• Well developed leadership capabilities in financial planning and inventory management

Personal skills:

• Analytical capability
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team coach

Languages:

Essential: Fluent English,

Desirable: Hungarian

Computer skills:

• Experience in global enterprise resource planning systems (i.e. SAP, WMS & TMS)
• Advanced in MS office
