Within a context of strong acceleration of Sustainable topics, products and ecosystem and in line with the commitments of BNP Paribas towards Energy Transition and pledge to fight Climate Change, the Sustainable Finance / CIB CSR team is aiming at fostering the development of sustainable financing solutions at CIB level.
The Sustainable Finance team is multi-locations (Paris, London and Lisbon) transversal team with a focus to:
Develop the Green / Sustainable Finance products franchise across CIB in close coordination with Global Banking and Global Markets.
Assist coverage and business lines to raise awareness, develop knowledge and expertise connected to CSR (support, events, training…)
Liaise with the various entities, experts and workgroups internally and externally to keep abreast of the various developments and innovations
Regional focus on EMEA area but need to exchange on regular basis with counterpart teams based in APAC and Americas
Within this context, the Lisbon platform of the Sustainable Finance team is pivotal with the mission to assist to the origination and structuring transactions and develop in-house capacities and expertise on sustainability related topics.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist strengthening the Lisbon platform to ensure optimized set-up and added-value on the whole range of transactions Green Loans/ Bonds, sustainability Linked Loans / Bonds
Develop the expertise ESG advisory practice by bringing strong understanding of the various extra-financial rating agency methodologies, but also on the traditional Credit rating agencies as well as TCFD and EU Taxonomy
Liaise with external experts to assist implementing methodology and tools when it comes to assessing clients / transactions in relation to Sustainable Finance
Develop dedicated sector / topic expertise alongside the rest of the team
Train and help develop local staff
Leveraging on the Lisbon Pole experience for Data/Market intelligence and training / Communication
Representing the Bank in external forums
PROFILE
University degree with specialization in Sustainability
Robust ESG-related working experience (> 5 years), at least 4 years in the banking and/or extra-financial rating industry
Good knowledge of industry sector-specific ESG challenges
Capacity to innovate on new sustainable topics in a client centric approach
Articulate in the key initiatives of the Sustainable Finance Ecosystem
Good understanding of the regulatory context
Culture of transversal projects and strong collaborative mind set
A positive, proactive and energetic attitude to change and a desire to contribute to the team
Capable of delivering impactful presentations to the clients
Fluent in Portuguese and English, French is a plus
