Responsible for providing application development and support services to meet AIA's business needs

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Java/J2EE software architectures and systems for insurance business applications.
  • Write Design Specification and Unit test documents.
  • Communicate with business users to develop requirements and plans and provide technical solutions.
  • Troubleshooting for the existing Group Life System and ensure their stability.
  • Hands on systems upgrade & testing.
  • Lead vendor team in the area of software engineering to provide coaching and mentoring and support them to complete project tasks as required
  • Engage in or lead project through the whole project lifecycle.
  • Provide timely, accurate and detailed reports and presentations.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years working experiences.
  • Professional experiences in developing software systems from requirement specifications, requirements flow-down, detailed design, implementation, and verification/validation.
  • Good knowledge in object oriented programming, design pattern, data structure, code performance profiling and optimization
  • Solid experience on Java, Spring MVC, RESTful, iBatis, Hibernate, Java Scripts, HTML5, and etc.
  • Project management experiences including project requirements definition, plan development, progress monitoring and technology transitions to customers.
  • Be familiar to use SQL and Database design.
  • Be familiar with Reporting develop & popular BI report tools (TableauFineReport etc) is preferred.
  • Be familiar with Insurance ledger account, Reinsurance related business flow is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; innovative strategic and technical thinker; high energy; team player with good adaptability.
  • Good technical writing, presentation, project management and communication skills in English.
