The jobholder will be responsible for the IT operations and technical support. Major job duties will include:

• Assist in defining infrastructure components of web application systems, producing an infrastructure design for the system
• Maintain good performance on server and database infrastructure and high system availability at all times
• Assist in developing infrastructure roadmap, long-term strategies and capacity planning to meet future system requirement and business needs
• Work closely with application team on system testing, configuration and migration of new server, etc.
• Assist in preparing project documentations including Requirement Specification, Design Specifications, UAT Plans and Reports etc.
• Handle hardware and software upgrade, replacement and purchasing, etc.
• Manage a technical support team to perform infrastructure installation, testing and periodic system software/hardware upgrade
• On-call for emergency production incidents and perform shift duties as required

 
 The Person:

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in system design and administration of large-scale Web server and database infrastructure and applications;
• Good knowledge of multi-tiered application environments (Web, Application and Database connectivity) and high availability system
• Hands-on experiences on FortiGate firewalls, Cisco switches, Load balancers and monitoring tools
• Hands-on experiences in network design and security, IT operations security, intrusion management including firewall, intrusion detection software, anti-virus software, security appliances and host security
• Experiences in OS (Microsoft Window Server and Linux); Web server(Apache, Nginx); Database server (MySQL, MariaDB); Microsoft Active Directory server maintenance and administration is an advantage
• Familiar with Cloudflare, Azure, GoDaddy, AWS
• Experience in managing vendors on IT operations, change management, incident management, problem management is a plus
• Knowledge of Hyper-V, database replication application, and multi-country resources is an advantage
• Knowledge in managing MetaTrader system is an advantage
• Mature, multi-tasking, and able to work independently and under pressure
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
• Occasionally travel to PRC will be required
