Senior Systems Engineer (Semiconductor Test)

Overview
“Semiconductor” is a fast-growing and at the same time challenging segment. NI is committed to engage in this industry where our platform is mostly differentiated. The NI Semiconductor Systems Engineer is expected to understand the customer’s application needs and providing NI platform recommendations and technical support to grow revenue. The Semiconductor Test SE uses NI platform technical knowledge to assist in advancing, closing, and support of the customer’s applications. A high level of technical acumen with NI platforms and industry/application knowledge is required to build a trusted technical advisor relationship with account(s).
Responsibilities
As NI Taiwan Senior Semiconductor Test Systems Engineer, you will:
l Provide system level support based on NI platform (hardware, software) for semiconductor test customers in to drive large opportunities and share product and application feedbacks within organization
l Work with user’s production test engineering team on automated tester code development: DUT control, data validation and correlation, test time optimization, as well as customizations such as OI, reporting and handler/prober integration
l Be able to function under high-pressure, long work time, and unideal environment such as onsite customer production line cleanroom environment, due to project requirements
l Cooperate proficiently with NI local, regional, and global teams (Sales, Marketing, Engineering) as well as partners in various phases of a project
l Work with Sales and Marketing to develop account plan as well as support strategies in the industry
l Build internal knowledge base by studying and sharing new application, technology, application knowledge and market trend with local and regional teams
Qualifications
Required Skills, Experience, and Knowledge
l RF and Wireless Communications
§ Wireless communications knowledge and test methodologies
ü Connectivity and IoT: WLAN, Bluetooth, LoRa, ZigBee, ZWave, …etc
ü Cellular: GSM/EDGE, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, LTE, LTE-A, NB-IoT, NR, …etc
§ RF Hardware Knowledge, VSA, VSG, VST, VNA, Power Meter, …etc
§ RF and mmWave active/passive components, Mixer, LNA, PA, Duplexer, …etc
l Automated Test/Software/Hardware
§ TestStand, SmartTest, IG-XL, …etc
§ C/C++, VB, and .NET. Knowing LabVIEW is a plus
§ Instruments - SMU, DMM, Oscilloscope, AWG, FGEN, Digital Pattern Editor, ...etc
§ Semiconductor industry experiences like RF FEM, On-Wafer test, IPD, ADC/DAC, LED, MEMS sensor, …etc
Required Profile
l 5+ years of experience in RFIC or mixed-signal IC design, 1+ years of experience in software and system development role
l Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills. Fluent in English
l Willing to locally or internationally travel by request (20% or less)
l Self-starter and proactive team member
l Sense of project management and skills
l Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred
l Work experience in chipset design house is preferred
