Job Overview
The Senior IT Systems Engineer will work closely with our business partners to understand their processes, and current and future system requirements to improve their business functions and productivity. The position will manage & work closely with the associated managed service provider & internal IT teams to analyze the business requests, define system objectives and features, and finalize the overall scope of work to be done and the methodology by which the work will be carried out (waterfall, agile, etc.) This includes managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure in the area of responsibility.
The Senior IT Systems Engineer will provide input into the decisions regarding software tools and platforms, and will be responsible for integrating the new solution components with the existing systems. He or she will be in an active leading role in projects for implementation. The candidate will be responsible for providing effort estimates for all work packages, timeline management, and communications to support the business throughout the various systems supported.
This position will provide both Business & IT with a holistic view of all Strategic Retail Dealer initiatives within the Dealer Information Systems space. This includes dependent initiatives, composed of several underlying, interconnected projects. These projects must complement and build off one another to achieve a larger long-term business strategy.

Responsibilities:
Enlist and foster a comprehensive and a highly collaborative working relationship between IT teams and the business partners to understand project dependencies and the bigger picture.
Responsible for the development of business requirements for small/large projects and system enhancements and transforming them into high quality user stories and acceptance criteria.
Facilitate the support of SRD business initiatives and other areas that require IT application integration through the various IT Team and other input from IT.
Meet regularly with all partners (HQ, IT, Business, Managers) to provide status updates, challenges, recommendations on all related IT SRD topics
Work closely with business partners as well the technical teams in the definition, testing, training, implementation and support of system functional requirements.
Possess an innovative approach to problem solving, while understanding the complexities of the existing systems in conjunction with business, legal, financial constraints.
Identify issues, escalate as necessary and manage the resolutions agreed to, with the IT teams and business users.
Manage the team responsible for maintaining and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure. Collaborate with and recommend new technologies to the team as necessary for the successful deployment of the final products to the business partners.
Participate in and facilitate discussions to discover solutions, capturing and transforming business and technology requirements into high-quality User Stories and Acceptance criteria
Serve as a conduit by providing expertise on external technologies, methodologies and impact to organizational landscape.
