The opportunity:

We’re looking for a talented Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant to join the People & Culture Business Partnering team. You’ll drive and deliver talent sourcing and acquisition across multiple business units at AIA NZ.

You’ll play a crucial role in hiring across Technology, the Portfolio Delivery Office and Partnership Insurance where you’ll develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders to understand their evolving organisation.

In this role you will develop recruiting strategies that will focus on sourcing, diversity hiring and proactive engagement. You’ll be passionate about delivering an exceptional experience for candidates and stakeholders while being able to influence and guide on hiring practices as well as enhance processes and recruiting strategies.

About the role:

Customer Relationship Management

  • Partner with AIA leaders to proactively and reactively manage recruitment of vacancies

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on all aspects of the recruitment process

  • Coach leaders on recruitment practices at every opportunity

  • Identify & communicate continuous improvement opportunities and strategies for attraction and recruitment of talent

Candidate Relationship Management

  • Successfully deliver exceptional candidate experience as you lead them through the full end to end recruitment process

  • Effectively share and communicate AIA’s vision and culture through our employee value proposition

Attraction and Sourcing

  • Develop and & execute multi-channel sourcing strategies to source candidates and build talent pools for current and future requirements alongside initiatives and campaigns driven by the Employment Brand Business Partner

  • Support in managing AIA’s employee referral programme, alumni and networking strategies

  • Assist with Redeployment processes for those identified by the People and Culture Business Partners

  • Develop and support market mapping and market research and proactively use intelligence and information from market maps (once developed)

  • Keep an active personal profile on LinkedIn and be an advocate of the AIA’s brand

  • Be an advocate for promoting internal talent

Process, Policies and Procedures

  • Achieve metrics and compliance needs in delivery and ensure that all relevant checks are done on candidates in alignment to our Group Matrix to meet AIA New Zealand’s compliance standards

  • Educate and support all users with the functionality of using Workday

  • Support key supplier/vendor relationships

  • Enhance and contribute to date and reporting as well as ensuring that Workday is being reflected with real time updates

Project and Proactive Activities

  • Take a lead or support on allocated projects

  • Support the Employment Brand Business Partner with the maintenance and enhancements of the AIA’s Careers site, LinkedIn page and ad hoc sourcing platforms

  • Collaborate and manage the strategic partnership with the Employment Brand Business Partner to bring to life AIA New Zealand’s EVP, Alumni program, internships and graduate programmes

About you:

To be successful in this role, you’ll be an experienced and fast paced recruiter who has a great track record of delivering top talent. You’ll love what you do, are driven and can influence and educate while taking stakeholders and candidates through an engaging and efficient recruitment process.

You’ll value diversity and be able to leverage our product, culture and values to attract the right candidates.

You will also;

  • Be passionate about technology and have a strong understanding of hiring talent within the tech and projects space

  • Have corporate recruitment experience and ideally within financial services – although not mandatory depending on your background

  • Be a collaborative challenger with sourcing, continuous improvements, empowering and leveraging networks

  • Be systems savvy in educating and using various systems and processes and be data and metrics focused

  • A strong team player, a caring mentor, coach and influencer

  • Be able to demonstrate the ability multitask, be resilient and have experience in high pressure, quick response roles
