The opportunity:

Our People and Culture team are looking to recruit a Senior Talent Acquisition (TA) Consultant to join the existing team on a fixed term contract basis due to an internal promotion.

The purpose of this role is to drive and deliver both reactive and proactive talent sourcing and acquisition for AIA New Zealand. This includes working with leaders to manage recruitment of vacancies and delivering an exceptional day to day recruitment service whilst at the same time improving processes.

About the role:

  • Partner with AIA leaders (including HR) to proactively and reactively manage recruitment of vacancies within agreed business units.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on all aspects of the recruitment process

  • Conduct role briefing with hiring managers and set expectations for recruitment process

  • Manage all candidates effectively throughout the recruitment process to ensure they have a great experience

  • Effectively communicate position opportunity and client value proposition

  • Develop and maintain relationships and seek referrals of other candidates

  • Create & execute multi-channel sourcing strategy to source candidates meeting client profile and/or building talent pool for current and future requirements

  • Ensure all relevant checks are done on candidates including standard checks, AML, Fit and Proper, AFA and QFE checks as required for compliance.

  • Deliver within agreed timeframes (business SLAs and as per the recruitment plan) and with an awareness of cost, time and quality drivers

About you:

The successful person will be a natural leader who is passionate about recruitment and can provide value add on a daily basis. We are not just looking for a technical expert; this role is extremely busy and not for the faint hearted. Outgoing and personable, you will have a hands on approach to work and the ability to work effectively with a consultative style of communication.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Exceptional relationship and communication skills (face to face and phone)

  • Strong customer service experience and skills

  • Strong team player

  • Recruitment technical skills eg: Behavioural based interviewing, understanding of testing and check processes.

  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure/show resilience

Role Related Experience:

  • Experience in High pressure, quick response roles

  • Business / Corporate background (preferably Financial Services)

  • Experience in recruitment in external/internal environment (essential)

  • Experience in a customer service role (desirable)
