Eaton’s Corporate sector is currently seeking a Lead Tax Analyst to join our team. This position is a hybrid work schedule and based in our Mississauga, Canada facility. Position Overview: The Tax Lead Analyst will be responsible for the Corporate Canadian tax compliance and tax provision for the Company and its related entities. This position will prepare audit support, liaise with the tax authorities and advisors. Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. In this role, you will: Preparation & review of all Corporate Canadian direct (income) tax filings and returns, including maintenance of accurate files for all returns, assessments and statements and analysis of tax assessments by jurisdiction. Preparation & review of Canadian quarterly tax provisions packages, including quarterly review of Canadian Tax account reconciliations. Preparation/review of Canadian tax installments & forecast. Coordinate Scientific Research and Experimental Development information gathering with local (divisional) controllers and assist with preparation of Scientific Research and Experimental Development filings. Preparation & review of audit documentation and support for all legal entities in Canada to defend Eaton’s tax positions. Provide strategic guidance to the Corporate tax group with respect to the short and long-term changes to tax entities and structure in Canada. Monitor the transactions of the Canadian legal entities and verify accuracy of accounting records on a regular basis. Coach and train a new co-op student on a regular basis. Assist the senior manager with various ad-hoc projects. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business and/or Finance from accredited institution Minimum of 3 years Canadian tax experience gained in a professional firm, multinational company or Tax Authority Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future. No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 80 km of Mississauga, ON to be considered. Preferred Qualifications: CPA designation Experience working with Canadian tax compliance processes and US GAAP financial statements Experience with Corporate taxes Position Success Criteria: Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with others in a dynamic environment Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities while meeting deadlines Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources, identify issues, develop and implement solutions Self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision Uses data to drive decision-making Eaton has in place accessibility policies for accommodating employees with disabilities.
