Job Overview
 
A vital team member that is responsible for the accurate and timely filing of corporate income tax returns for US Federal, state, and local jurisdictions.


Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for Federal and state income tax compliance and tax accounting for specific assigned entities.

- This position will also be required to assist with tax audits, R&D credit projects, occasional tax research, and special tax projects, as required.

- Prepare and file US Federal and state income tax returns and make quarterly estimated payments

- Prepare tax provision calculations for specific assigned entities, including account reconciliations and supporting data.

- Remain current on new tax laws and regulations and appropriately reflect these changes from a tax compliance and a tax accounting perspective.

- Recommend and implement process improvements for compliance and tax accounting services.

- Assist with special tax projects and tax research, as required.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or in Taxation or related field from an accredited university/college with 3+ years of related experience OR Masters degree with 1+ years related experience required

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required


- Ability to effectively communicate with management and outside business advisors and government agencies required


- Corporate Income Tax experience required


- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, multi-task oriented with a strong customer focus, and exceptional organizational skills required


- Previous experience with CorpTax software and SAP preferred


- Experience in accounting for income taxes preferred


- 2 years in public accounting preferred

- Certified Professional in Financial Services Program (CPFS)
CPA preferred
