WHAT WE OFFER

Major tasks and responsibilities of position

  • Visit customers, potential customers and other relevant stakeholders in the value chain (e.g. brand owners or OEMs), the planning of which is the responsibility of the jobholder.Build trust with a network of contacts across the industry and in a number of functions: senior management, purchasing, technical, logistics etc.
  • Responsibility to manage and grow sustainable profitable business at existing customers as well as to acquire new customers in order to meet topline, profitability and working capital targets.
  • Responsibility to identify Covestro’s positioning in new market segment, prove technical and commercial feasibility of Covestro products. Contribute to the establishment of business case, business model. Build up potential customers pipeline and initiate pilot projects.
  • Provide technical consultancy to existing and potential new customers,negotiate commercial conditions within guidelines and monitor sales against expectations or commitments, as well as receivables
  • Responsible for generation of projects in line with the unit’s marketing strategy and having ensured attractive potential
  • Understand market trends and customer demands in textile related markets
  • Actor as value chain coordinator and support management to fulfil new business model across textile’s value chain, e.g. producers, OEMs and brands
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through advice and support on critical issues around contracts and orders (e.g. logistics, product quality/specifications, shortage of material, )
  • Gather and share market information, customer and competitor’s activities and product developments and any other pertinent market development
  • Represent Covestro at trade fairs, seminars etc.
  • Attend to customers in case of complaints, and be accountable for their prompt completion even when other stakeholders are involved.
  • To write after each visit a concise visit report with clear actions and with relevant circulation within the global TXT team.

  • Generate and support a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Maximization of sales revenue by securing and growing market share and prices
  • Development of business with new products and development of new customers.
  • Ensuring operations are properly managed with respect to collection of receivables and compliance with agreements
  • Representation of Covestro’s product stewardship commitments to the market.

Qualifications

Education

  • College degree or above associated with textiles or chemical, polymer industry experience
  • Experiences and knowledge in the technical application of CAS products
  • in the targeted market segment
  • Strong technical expertise and lab experience to consult the customers on existing and new formulations, applications, properties
  • Sound understanding of supply/demand and market dynamics
  • Fluent English language
  • Highly motivated
  • Demonstration of Lominger skills Problem solving, presentation skills, technical learning, priority setting, drive for results, written communications, listening, perseverance, customer focus

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • University degree in Business Administration or relevant area
  • Non-degree individuals must have proven equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years sales experience
