Job Purpose

Provide Technical Support to Regional Sales Team in terms of support for understanding and guiding the customers technical requirements, evaluation of customer requirement and proposing feasible solution for the project right from the development stage till contract. . Render technical support to Proposal Specialist / Regional Bid Manager in creation of the budget and firm proposals, to System Engineering in technical Evaluation of vendor offers, and selection of vendors for extended scope. Evaluate the Combined Heat and Power Solutions / feasibilities etc.

Key Accountabilities

Study technical requirements of regional customesr, site information and evaluate possible product match and propose technical solution with internal supports and coordination as necessary.

In case of Bids against tenders, verify customer specifications against applicable standards to generate contract specific Comments & Exceptions lists considering latest standards and performance parameters.

Selection / sizing of appropriate Product and BOP equipments (including CHP and Combined cycle options ) depending on the customer requirements. Create Heat Mass Balance diagrams for various heat recovery applications.

Liaise with Bergen Engines Norway and India colleagues for obtaining required technical inputs, data and documentation.

Liaise with Projects, Aftermarket, Engineering Depts & Vendors for necessary technical input / advise for compliances to customer requirements.

Selection of appropriate Product and BOP equipments (including CHP and Combined cycle options ) depending on the customer requirements

Obtain internal approvals of Performance data, guarantees and other technical features wherever necessary.

Create technical offer comprising of Scope of Supply document, Performance Data sheets & Technical specifications based on the inputs available through the performance programme, technical documentation and internal Guidelines.

Support/ prepare cost estimate in consultation with help of Proposal Specialist / Regional Bid Manager for offers in line with the technical scope and specifications.

Support Regional Sales Manager by attending pre and post-proposal technical discussions with customers.

Assist Regional Bid Manager for BEF Technical discussions & approvals.

Provide technical bid data and documentation as defined by procedure to the Bergen Engines Application department as part of the contract handover for project execution

Generate technical benchmarking/ comparisons of our our products/ solutions with competitors.
