SUMMARY
The Technical Translator is a tech-savvy education enthusiast ready to take on the challenge and wear multiple hats as a coordinator, translator, facilitator and project manager. The role is
responsible for translating and publishing learning programs for ANSYS software as well as the ser interface in ANSYS Learning Hub. The position involves working closely with translation vendors, Content Developers as well as local field teams. This position is a key member of a positive, dynamic team of content developers committed to the development of ANSYS learning programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translation of learning programs of ANSYS Software into Japanese/Chinese.
- Translation of the User Interface in ANSYS Learning Hub (LMS).
- Subcontracting of translation projects with translation vendors; verification of translated content.
- Collaborating with field teams in Japan/China on prioritization of learning programs and review of the quality of translations.
- Publication of translated content in ANSYS Learning Hub.
- Contribute to the development of localization best practices to improve quality and efficiency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in English Literacy, TEM 8
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in translation of technical documents from English to Japanese/Chinese
- Experience with translation software including translation memories and translation management software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of translation practices
- Good general communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree is a plus
- Experience with ANSYS software products is a plus
- Experience with voice recording in Japanese/Chinese and text-to-speech software
