Responsibilities: 

• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with all stakeholders of the biomedical technology (BMT) cluster of HKSTP, including but not limited to academia, researchers, and business clients
• Assist the HKSTP Biobank operation by providing all-round support (lab and administrative duties) to the team
• Technical
• Handle daily operation of the lab (including sample receiving, sample preparation, operation of analytical instruments, data logging and result reporting) according to the guidelines & SOPs as required
• Participate in-house and external trainings as required
• Assist in the technical writing such as document preparation and record management for ISO accreditation
• Administrative
• Assist / plan, coordinate and organize projects from planning to implementation stages including budgeting and promotion (e.g. preparation and development of marketing collaterals including brochures, presentation, website, banner, poster, etc.) with minimum supervision
• Assist in procurement and interact with suppliers
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors and management 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related life science discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in life science laboratory, experience in biobank and/or histopathology would be an advantage
• Certification: Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) Part II license is preferred
• Self-driven, willing to learn, strong sense of responsibility and customer-centred service attitude is required
• Must be a good team player with excellent communication skills as well as able to work independently
• Proficient in MS office (Words, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese
