TITLE: Senior Technology Consultant COMPANY: Siemens Advanta Solutions Corp. DUTIES: Perform analysis and documentation on various EnergyIP system interface changes. Conduct Asset Data Synchronization, Itron OpenWay integration, remote device control, billing, settlements, outages and device events, meter data validation and estimation. Perform system configuration based on the utility and Texas market requirements. Conduct applications unit testing, system integration testing, complex various processes testing. Perform automated system testing implementation. Provide guidance for testing team members and business users. Work with product house teams with new functional delivery and defect fixes. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the above listed fields and 5 years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. Full term of experience must include the following skills: utility domain business knowledge in metering, billing and work management operations; ability to perform root cause analysis and resolution for complex systems interface issues; using variety of tools for interfaces testing including SoapUI, SQL Developer, Java, and JMS; EnergyIP meter data management 8.x, 7.x, 6.x smart grid platform requirements, analysis, design, configuration, testing and deployment; various EnergyIP meter data management system interface implementations involving head-end system technologies, such as Itron and Silver Springs Network; functional knowledge of various meter data management functions, such as asset data synchronization, remote device control, billing, settlements, outages and device events, meter data validation and estimation; applying international Canadian market knowledge for business requirements gathering, consultations and clarification related to meter data management.
