Principal Job Responsibilities:

 

Perform most or all of the following:  Develop a detailed evaluation and characterization plan for high performance IC devices on ATE (Automatic Test Equipment).  Coordinate new product development from the design stage through release and implement the manufacturing release of the ATE solution for IC products.  Create test development schedules and characterization plans for prototype evaluation and product release as well as provide input on new product development.  Design and implement test hardware and software to support the device evaluation and characterization process and ensure data accuracy through correlation between various test platforms.  Coordinate with, cross-functional teams of product and qualification to release products to manufacturing on schedule and budget.  Statistical Analysis of ATE data for supporting data sheet specifications at final production test.  Identify and develop yield and cost improvements and transfer of products to high volume production by interface with various departments such as Quality, Reliability, Assembly, and W/W Manufacturing.  Participate in data review meetings and prepare product data reports by interfacing with Design, Product, Applications and Marketing engineers.  Coordinate with Design Engineering, Applications Engineering, Quality Assurance and Failure Analysis teams for development, qualification and sustaining activities.

 

Qualifications

 

Either Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Electrical, Electrical and Computer, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline, plus three years of industry, academic, and/or research experience (gained at any time) in one of the following: MEMS, RF, Power, Converters, Analog, Mixed-signal, Digital circuits, or Embedded Systems; OR, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in the same fields as above, plus two years of industry, academic, and/or research experience (gained at any time) in one of the areas as listed above.  Regardless of degree level above, must have at least one year of (included) experience in each of the following:  developing software in major ATE software platforms to test ICs on custom PCBs for interface to ATE; assisting in debug and analysis of new product hardware at IC and PCB levels; designing (individually and/or as part of a team) software, and hardware to characterize and production test of state-of-the-art ICs; working in a design team to formulate test strategies for developing comprehensive tests ICs; using statistical analysis tools and reports oriented for validation of products to set test limits on products and datasheets; participating in project development including support of design-for-testability, product qualification, and ongoing support of products in production; interfacing with design, product evaluation, process, manufacturing, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to completion and distribution; and releasing products to production by interfacing with various departments such as Quality, Reliability, Assembly, and Worldwide Manufacturing.  Must have had exposure to verification of projects, including development of complex environments, verification plans, simulation, coverage analysis.  Must have solid oral, written, and presentation communication skills to efficiently communicate across a global organization where success is highly dependent on collaboration and effective communication.
