Job Description

About the role:

The Quality Manager assists in overseeing the development, implementation, and continual improvement of quality systems, programs, and processes relating to a specific client portfolio within the Life Science vertical. The Quality Manager is responsible for managing/coordinating the client review evaluation process, and the management of the linguistic assets (not sure about this part).

The role includes coordinating the CAPA management relating to quality and non-compliance issues with the Project Management team and inhouse linguistic teams, overseeing quality assurance processes for translations, real-time and accurate recording of activities for KPI reporting and KPI reporting creation and management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and executes KPI reporting for a number of Life science clients
  • Evaluate client feedback to complete resolution reports needed for client deliverables along with respective key parties. Collaborate in the CAPA process with cross-functional teams.
  • Liaises with Project management team on linguistic performance trends
  • Involved in customer satisfaction survey follow ups
  • Defines, manages and implements quality management initiatives as required to fulfill client requirements
  • Liaises with quality management department when it is required to address any quality management needs (escalations, training requirements, audit preparation)
  • Supports in the definition, launch and implementation of strategic initiatives linked to performance
  • In charge of client KPI reporting (collection of data, validation, delivery in final format to clients) and presentation preparation
  • Linguistic asset maintenance support including granting linguists term-base access, reviewing linguistic queries for customers along with Project Managers, when needed
  • In charge of account reporting needs including ad-hoc customer reports
  • Analyze and evaluate various factors in order to ensure ISO requirements are being met.
  • Participate in internal postmortem investigations to help improve processes and reduce risk-Make recommendations for process improvements that improve efficiency, quality and profitability

 

Requirements:

  • College degree (BA, BS) and degree in Translation and/or interpretation or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Project management experience of minimum 3 years preferred or in other localization roles
  • Fluent in English, and ideally additional languages
  • Strong computer skills (especially in Excel)
  • Linguistic assets management skills, including the ability to create and maintain glossaries and terminology databases as well as assess quality and completeness of translations
  • Advanced translation memory experience including, Multitrans, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, CAT Tools, Office 365/Skype, CRM/AURORA/other production software). Exposure to TMS (Translation Management System) workflows preferable.
  • Ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a hectic, time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to communicate accurately detailed instructions to multilingual vendors.
  • Detail and service oriented.
  • Clear sense of accountability.
