Join us in defining our world of tomorrow and creating smarter technology for all! Lenovo’s User Experience Design (UXD) team is seeking a Senior UX Advocate. The responsibility of this person is to the lead efforts across the UXD team to share stories about our work and advocate for the user with world class digital and video deliverables. As an adept UX practitioner yourself, this will be accomplished by working with other UXD team members to document the stories of how Lenovo creates user-centered products and services. From collaborating on user research and product assessments to understanding UXD recommendations and Human Factors principles, you will take lead in highlighting UXD team’s critical role in designing for industry-leading and world-class experiences for Lenovo customers. Your work will help customers to better understand how Lenovo’s human-centered and data-driven approach to design propels us to deliver Smarter Technology for All. In this role you will report to the Director of User Experience Design. Unrelenting passion for user experience and human factors with superb organization and communication skills are keys to the success in this role. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Lead communication strategy for the UXD team including storytelling and advocacy. • Lead of the User Experience Design team’s web portal. • Document, create, and publish content about UX activity across the UX design team worldwide. • Help showcase select UX work to external customers through various channels and mediums. • Develop ways to convey compelling stories of UX’s roles and impact on Lenovo’s products. • Effectively communicate UXD recommendations and data internally as a visible point of contact. • Organize, coordinate consistency, and maintain an archive of UXD deliverables. • Coordinate and document virtual and in-person user research as part of the UX insights team. • Design and lead workshops and creative events. • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to take numerous inputs and synthesize into consistent and easy to understand formats. • While content creation is a critical part of this role, authentic UX activities will be part of the responsibilities of this role as well and will be assigned based on experience and background. Learn more about why it’s great to work at Lenovo - https://www.lenovobenefits.com/why-join-lenovo #### Position Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ professional experience in UX, Human Factors, or Design. • Solid understanding of UX principles and human centered design process. • Strong storytelling, writing, and presentation skills are critical for this role. • Experience with applications and services like WordPress, Adobe CCl, Medium, Google Analytics. • Experience with cross-team collaboration (designers, engineers, marketing). • Experience developing and leading executive-level presentations. • Language proficiency:  Excellent written and verbal English. • Growth mindset that keeps a positive success oriented long-term outlook. • PORTFOLIO REQUIRED with examples of world class UX and/or user research deliverables. PREFERRED: • Master’s degree and 10+ years’ experience in UX, Human Factors, or Design. • Experience managing design team deliverables, websites, content, or similar. • Experience leading workshops and creative idea sessions. • Experience with creating high impact videos.  (both video shooting & editing). • Experience working for a consumer electronics or software company. • Experience working in a global company. • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and facilitate alignment and clear decision-making. • Familiarity with the latest consumer electronics products and technologies. • Demonstrated passion for user centered, inclusive, and sustainable UX design. ** Role begin as remote then will be onsite (required) in Morrisville once Lenovo returns to the office.
